10 SOLID WAYS TO OVERCOME LIFE’S BATTLES

How To Overcome Life’s Battles

Friend, we are engaged in a spiritual warfare, you will never outgrow warfare; you simply must learn to fight. God has prepared a special way out of every crisis or battles over your life in Christ Jesus. When you talk of being a winner or victor, that means you are talking of a battle that is being fought.

The devil is constantly fighting against our destiny but God has planned us for victory always. The battle you are engaged in is not physical. Your opponent, the devil is a spirit and so you cannot fight him physically.

A spiritual problem can only be solved spiritually.

In this article, the Holy Spirit will reveal God’s golden nuggets that will set you on the track of achievement, breakthrough and strategies on how to overcome the battles of life.

It is my fervent belief that God will translate your life into a level of victory as you receive the word as it is revealed in this article.

10 WAYS TO OVERCOME LIFE’S BATTLES

Know Your God: He is a God of Miracles, Love, Compassion, Our healer. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Your understanding of the God you serve is vital in your quest for victory. If you loose sight of who God is, you stand the risk of losing in the battles of life. Daniel 11:32b says, “…but the  people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploit”.

Seek For God’s Leading Wisdom And Knowledge: Direction is the ability to know where one should go per time. Direction can also be described as obtaining a compass for every step that is to be taken.

Find out God’s will on the matter and what way you ought to do it. Get the details of what steps God will have you take. Divine direction enables you to know what to do, where to go, and what to say per time. It also offers you all the courage you will ever need to fulfill your task.

Walk In Wisdom: There are lots of issues where God expects us to apply our sanctified sense. He did not give us a sound mind for nothing. We are to employ our mind and our thinking facilities in our quest for victory.

Proverbs 4:7 says, “Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom, and in all thy getting, get understanding.”

So many people have died before their time simply because of lack of wisdom. Many are stagnant and not making progress not because they are not gifted, not because they are no hard working, but simply because they are not wise.

There is earthly wisdom and that is devilish, selfish and sensual. There is a wisdom that comes from heaven. The wisdom is pure, peaceable, gentle, selfless, full of mercy without partiality and hypocrisy (James 3:15-17).

This is the kind of wisdom that is indispensable to God ordained progress. A man blessed with such wisdom will enjoy riches, favour, long life and nothing will hinder him from winning.

You Must Respect The Power Of Prayer And Fasting: One of the greatest disfavours you can do yourself is to be lazy or busy to pray. A believer’s prayer link with the God of the whole universe in the realm of the Spirit.

If you are as a believer pray regularly with all fervency, it will be difficult for the devil to tamper with your life or anything that belongs to you. James 5:16 says, “The effectual fervent Prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

The Bible does not leave us in the dark about the importance of fasting. Fasting is a spiritual exercise that you cannot afford to do without a Christian if you are to overcome the battles of life.

Jesus literally laid the foundation of His Ministry with fasting and prayer. I want to strongly recommend fasting and prayer to you when you are faced with a battle. Fasting may not be an easy spiritual exercise of course, but it is always a rewarding one. Matthew chapter 17:21 says, “However, this king does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Delight Yourself In The Lord: Delighting yourself in the Lord is absolutely important for you to be able to overcoming life’s battles.

In Judges chapter 7:1, when God called Gideon after all the various tests he had presented to the Lord, God gave Gideon a new self concept, self-esteem, a sense of self worth was necessary for him to be able to confront the enemies. Though his army was small, his godly self esteem and his godly self concept helped him to realize that a man with God is more than a majority.

Refuse To Walk In Fear: You should not run away from obstacles, don’t try to play it safe and find another way out. Confront your mountain. Know that every battle you are involved in as a believer is God’s battle not yours, the enemy gets mad at believers who manifest confidence and tries to break them by instilling fear.

A fearful believer is powerless to resist Satan’s attacks, when you are fearful, the devil can make mince meat out of you. Fear not, if you will not fear, you will not sink, if you bow to circumstances you will burn.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were not burnt but were uplifted. You shall be lifted in Jesus’ name.

Be Courageous: You need courage to Excell and make a name, as was the case with David. Goliath was several times his size, but he dared to confront him. A man of courage is not scared of any opposition no matter how intimidating. He believes he can take on anybody in the whole world.

Men of courage always have the crowns of others added to theirs. Courage can turn your shattered life around and make you a celebrity in your generation and generations to come. Courage does not count the number of fails one had, but looks forward to more opportunities of success.

Proverb 24:16 says, “for a just man falleth seven times, and rises up again”. The troubles will come, the challenges will be many, the opposition will be fierce but be confidential, stand strong, speak out boldly and act in confidence and you will see how fearful the devil is. Friend, choose to be fearless, choose to be confident and your deliverance shall come speedily.

Release Your Faith: Faith is an important prerequisite to receiving your personal victory. Faith is a vital key for releasing your miracles, “Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that beliveth” (Mark 9:23).

That means God will only act when he sees faith. Faith is the connection between man and the miracle working power of God. Consider the account of the women with the issue of blood. She needed a miracle from Jesus, yet many people were thronging him, but by faith, she pressed through the crowd, until she touched Jesus and drew virtue from him.

She got her victory by faith, you need the instrument of Faith to overcome every battle of your life. What you need is to release your faith, once it’s released, your mountains will be leveled and the impossible will become possible.

Lay Hold On God’s Word: You need personal knowledge of what God has said about the area of victory you desire. It is your understanding of your responsibility to search out the promises of God in His word about your situation that will make you a victor.

Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth that you should meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. From then you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success.”

Lay hold on the word of God, think God’s word, speak God’s word and act God’s word; victory is yours in Jesus’ name.

Refuse To Quit: A winner does not quit and quitters can not win. It is a spiritual law, stand firmly, refuse to shift your ground; if you do this, your victory is certain.

Abraham did not consider the situation around him, he kept standing on what God told him. He was in the best possible to doubt and quit. But he knew that if God promises, He will perform. So he had to stick to it. So he did not quit.

God met Abraham because he refused to quit.

Remember, a winner does not quit and quitters can not win.
